Proposed: Facebook Auto Ignore

When I ask him, “Why don’t you ignore all those?” he responds logically, “I am!

Looking at nedwin’s Facebook backend was hilarious. He has much more than a page-full of ‘notifications’ of things worth ignoring like Vampire invites and the like.

When I ask him, “Why don’t you ignore all those?” he responds logically, “I am!

So this brings up my point: why doesn’t Facebook have a maximum amount of time that notifications are displayed for?

Yes, you could just keep tabs on them, bit by bit, and ignore as they come; but this isn’t suitable for anyone who isn’t logging into Facebook every day.

So we could propose that you are able to set a time limit on how long these notifications stay available. You are already able to set what kinds of notifications you receive in your News Feed, why not a bar for this also?

Does it make sense that notifications are always there?

UPDATE
I’ve been using Jojo’s suggested Ignoreall.com bookmark; which worked great. However, Facebook have since implemented their own features - which is great! Now you can ignore every notification on a page, PLUS you can ignore all invites from any particular user. Done and done.
