Jules, point 3 is definitely a good point. Facebook also makes it easy to keep spammers at bay by simply ignoring requests. No one can touch my profile unless I've authorized it.

On Myspace, however, I have to delete comments, inbox messages and spam comments from friends' hacked profiles!

Unfortunately Facebook has much better functionality than Myspace. I started out with Myspace as well and now have converted to Facebook.

1.	The ‘news feed’ give a RSS feed feel to social information,
2.	Facebook photo tagging makes it easier to share photos with people instead of the only photos being the ones that you load up.
3.	History shows that it is much harder to start up fake profiles, on Facebook less spammer profiles.
4.	With photos on Facebook it also alerts you to when someone has commented on your photos which is easier than Myspace where unless it is your photo you cannot see the response someone has written about it

I have just written a thesis on the uses and gratifications of the Facebook/Myspace so I have had a lot of time to look at the two.

Craig you have a really cool blog here, something that I aspire too, I would love if you could give me some feedback on what you think I should do with my blog to get a more captive audience. If you have some time

Cheers

My main problem is that everyone is getting on the Facebook bandwagon and I fear that one day I will have no friends on myspace. Or I will have a lot of friends but no one will check their accounts anymore so it will be like I am sending comments, messages and bulletins to myself.
Ned: Hi Ned!
Ned: Hi...
N:What's happening, long time no see.
N:You know what's happening you creep, don't talk to me.
