Twitter Gangs
After playing around with Twitter for just over a month, Blowski gave us this solid roundup of what it’s like coming into the ‘network’ for the first time. He’s on point when talking about the gangs and cliques; some of the public bitch-fights have been downright embarrassing.
Occasionally, somebody new appears, like Loren Feldman. Desperate for attention, he shouts horrible things at everyone. People fairly quickly become bored with them, though, and they fade back into obscurity.
It’s a small thing and in no way diminishes Twitter’s attraction for me, but I would generally suggest to take anything anyone says with a grain of salt; even ignoring what a lot of your favourite bloggers end up spending their time with.
Twitter’s too much fun to waste on attention whores.
