Your Mail In Your Feed Reader
For a long time I’ve wanted to be able to check my email in Google Reader, but couldn’t because feeds behind SSL [logins] won’t show.
Gmail has feeds that are easy to subscribe to, but obviously require a login. Thanks to FreeMyFeed.com you can have password protected feeds, like that of emails, made into feeds that will show in feed readers.
Privacy
Usernames, passwords, feed URLs and feeds are never
stored on the server. Usernames, passwords and feed URLs are only
parsed from the alternate URL to retrieve your RSS feed on the fly from
the original source and then are discarded.
Now, if you’re a feed reader junkie like myself, you can keep track of new emails without bothering to login to your account.
Further
Got feeds? We can have some fun now.
Try plugging your new email feed into something like Twitterfeed.com and forwarding them to a protected Twitter account.
Prefix those updates with your personal Twitter username - @craigchilds for instance - so you can have new mail updates thrown to your mobile!
